Parents should never engage their children more than a limit to those devices. It is a known fact that it retards their brain development. But not only that, but also they are forbidden from the exercises they used to get from playing outdoor games that will lead to develop several diseases in them. Parents should understand that exercises for kids are equally important as it is for us adults.
Here are some of the problems that can occur due to lack of exercise in your kids. One of the major and seen problems is childhood obesity. The heart is the most important muscle that gets exercised during physical activity. Regular exercise helps to reduce risk factors of cardiovascular disease such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and obesity. Improved muscle strength and flexibility improves a child’s overall health and physical fitness. Another problem is poor posture that develops while sitting in front of the electronic devices for a long time. Poor posture in children can result in fatigue, back and neck pain and headaches.
Exercise is a fantastic way to relieve stress and anxiety, as children can be affected by these problems. It can also improve sleep which is critical for a child’s overall health and wellbeing. Most importantly they learn to socialize and make friends. Nowadays most kids go through depression only because they experience loneliness in such a small age or they have only virtual friends.
So next time when you get an iPad or playstation for your kid as birthday gift try gifting him/ her a skipping rope or football and let them go out and play and sweat it out. Also make sure your kid has a fixed screen time and that they don’t exceed the same.
